As the semester draws to a close, the New Media Club is already wondering what we should do next year. That’s us, always working and never stopping to even smell the flowers. But then again, who needs flowers? They just steal all the carbon and burp out precious oxygen. Creating an atmosphere instead of destroying it…RUDE!
In these final busy weeks, some fun events are still happening around town so don’t get too stressed out yet!
First, our very own Alessio Summerfield will be presenting his new film, “Weekenders”, at the Gnu’s Room on Friday, April 13th in two separate showings. Come out at either 7 or 8:30 p.m. to enjoy Mr. Summerfield’s latest eyeball creation. Cheers to the weekend…ers!
Second, the Gnu’s Room Music Festival will be occurring on Saturday, April 14th up on Pebble Hill. Tickets are $10 in advance (available at the Gnu’s Room) and $12 at the door. Musicians include Dead?Wait!, Adventure the Great and other local bands! DANCE, DANCE FOR PATHETIC YOUR LIVES! MWAHAHAHAHAHA
Evil ramblings aside, the April 28th screening of “Catfish with Falcon Wings” is still a go (Thundercats, anyone?), but now the director will be Skyping with us afterwards to promote a feature film that he’s been working on. Bring your thinking caps and creative questions!
If anyone has any plans for next year’s activities or this summer, please don’t hesitate to bring them up at subsequent meetings. We might just like your ideas and give you a whole ton of money!
REMINDER: THERE WILL BE NO MORE NEW MEDIA CLUB MEETINGS UNTIL APRIL 25TH! REST YOUR SOULS UNTIL THEN, MY LADS!
